We’re having the loveliest fall weather this weekend! Yesterday I spent the day out of the city with Kinfield—we went apple picking and then had an incredible dinner at Goshen Green Farm. It was the perfect fall day.

Watching
If you’re in New York, the Architecture & Design Film Fest (ADFF) is starting this week and runs through Sunday, October 20th. I went last year and had a great time. You can see the full lineup of films here and purchase tickets here. Also, this year I’m excited to be hosting a little giveaway for 2 tickets on my Instagram!

Admiring
The interiors of La Posta Vecchia hotel, located outside of Rome. Kristin’s photos immediately transport you there. This hotel has been on my wishlist and now even more so.

Coveting
I can’t seem to get enough of an all-white/cream look and am on the hunt for some amazing cream sweaters. I love this open sweater, this cardigan and this chunky turtleneck.

Reading
I picked up Where the Crawdads Sing before our trip to Hawaii and have fallen in love with the story. I’m excited to finish it soon, just in time for our own trip down south to New Orleans.

Decorating
Loving this woven chair from Urban Outfitters, which would be a perfect accent piece in any room. Also eyeing a few pieces from Serena & Lily during their Friends & Family sale: these bedside lamps, this woven tray and a cozy throw.

Planning
Last year I searched high & low for a chic menorah and this year I am planning way ahead! This one from Heath Ceramics is my favorite, but I am also loving this silver one, this marble one and this cast iron one (so glad they brought this design back!).

I seriously can’t believe this week marks the beginning of May! This year is flyingggg but I’m not complaining because summer is nearly here. Our trip to the south of France is in a little over two weeks and I can’t wait for it to get here!

Admiring:
Chris Burch’s historic Parisian home, as featured in this month’s issue of Architectural Digest. I fell in love with more “traditional” fabrics & techiniques while interning for Michelle R. Smith last summer and have so much more appreciation for the level of detail that goes into it. The restoration work and decoration to Burch’s house, done by Michael Pinet in partnership with Marco Scarani, makes my heart skip a beat!

Glowing:
I’ve been using Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum every morning and have been loving the extra bit of glow and moisture it gives my skin. I’m really impressed with their products and have become a big fan of theirs. Some of my other favorites include this face mist, this night cream and this hair/body oil (which is quickly becoming my signature scent!).

Coveting:
Every single piece from the new gauze collection by Mille! A collection of dresses and tops that are exactly what you want to be wearing from now through the end of summer.

Eyeing:
I recently came across a new designer, Marge Sherwood on Moda Operandi and was immediately drawn to all of the croc embossed leather bags. Might have to get this for my fall bag…

Decorating:
We’ve been slowly making updates to our apartment over the last few months and I’m excited to be partnering with Magic Linen to freshen up our bedding. Stay tuned to see more!

Considering:
I recently purchased this olive one-piece from J.Crew and found it to be so flattering! Their swimsuits are some of my favorites and I’m now considering this gingham one-piece.

Watching:
I’ve been obsessively watching garden tours with Monty Don on Netflix. My favorite has been Italy, but there are also episodes on France and more on YouTube. Watching it has me itching to go back to Europe!

Planning:
Speaking of going back to Europe, Grant and I are thinking about heading to the south of France for our 30th birthdays. Have you been? We would love any recommendations!

Following:
I may have been previously living under a rock, but I just started following Brittany Bathgate and am obsessed with her style! I’m currently on a mission to elevate my everyday style (trying to not wear jeans every. single. day. despite my blog name) and her outfits are serving up major inspiration.

Coveting:
Willing spring to arrive so I can stop wearing socks. These woven mules are high on my spring wishlist. They’ll be perfect with my new favorite jeans.

Reading:
If you know me, then you likely already know that I am obsessed with Of A Kind and everything Claire & Erica do. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the debut of their book (!) Work Wife, which delves into the power of female friendship to drive successful businesses. P.S. if you aren’t already, listen to their podcast!

Hydrating:
Doubling up on my overnight moisture with this brightening night cream by Caudalie followed by the new True Botanicals Moisturizing Overnight Mask. My skin is so soft and hydrated when I wake up!

It’s been so cold here in NYC that I’ve been enjoying the extra time indoors — lots of magazine reading, Netflix bingeing and inspiration hunting!

Shopping:
Mourning the closing of one of my favorite stores, The Line, but also reaping the benefits from their insane closing sale.

Watching:
Season 3 of True Detective. If you were a fan of season one, but hated season two, then you will love season three. Mahershala Ali is incredible and I’m looking out for Jodi Balfour, who I love following on instagram (and also played Jackie O. on The Crown!).

Visiting:
My talented friend, Jessica Williams, is an interior designer and just opened a store in Newburgh, NY. If you are planning a trip to Beacon, it’s well worth the quick hop across the Hudson to visit Hendley & Co!

Coveting:
We are slowly making updates to our apartment and I’ve got my eye on this pretty mirror. It’s a wallet-friendly version of this mirror.

Dreaming:
Really wanting to plan a long weekend trip to Paris after following Alicia’s recent trip! Somehow Paris manages to still be dreamy in the height of winter.

Selling:
Last weekend I did the whole Marie Kondo thing and overhauled my closet. After getting a few inquiries, I decided to list some pieces over on Depop!

2018 in review

2018 was full of lots of exciting moments, career explorations and of course, a handful of challenges. We wanted to travel more this year and feel so fortunate to have made that a priority — Mexico City, LA, Italy for our honeymoon, Austin, Nantucket, upstate NY, Montauk, and India!

I also explored a new career path - something I didn’t share publicly, but was an exciting experience for me. I’ve always been interested in interior design and I spent 5 months interning with the incredible team at Michelle R. Smith Interiors. I’m beyond grateful I was able to have that experience and feel so lucky to have been able to work with such an inspiring group of women.

I’m looking forward to the year ahead and excited to be back in this space! I’ll be putting together detailed posts of our wedding, travel guides, more interiors focused content and lots of style inspiration. Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see!

Thank you for continuing to read and follow along. I’m so thankful for each and every one of you. Wishing you a happy and healthy new year!

After a (very) long break from this space, I’ve decided it was time to finally come back! I asked a lot of you on instagram what you’d like to see here and it was so helpful! I’m excited to start incorporating into future posts.

Here’s what I’m currently up to…

6CE75903-18EF-4C17-B9D2-F8E71F4FD8CB.JPG

Reading:
The White Album by Joan Didion. I am a big fan of Joan Didion (make sure to watch her doc on Netflix!), but somehow had never read The White Album. I started reading it before Thanksgiving to gain some background before seeing a performance of the title essay this weekend at BAM. I’m hoping the performance expands and goes to more cities. I highly recommend seeing it if you’re able!

Painting:
Our apartment! After 6 years in the same space with basic builder’s paint, we’ve decided to repaint and freshen up our apartment. We are excited to be partnering with Clare, a newcomer to the paint scene. I’m obsessed with their peel & stick paint samples, which made it so easy to choose a color! You peel and stick them on your wall and can move them around from room to room and see them in different lighting — so smart.

Following:
Nadine Jane Astrology. I’ve been getting more and more into astrology lately and I love Nadine’s instagram account — it’s so beautifully designed and incredibly thoughtful. She puts together amazing imagery to go with each of her posts and I always look forward to seeing my monthly mantra. She just recently started an email subscription so now you can get your monthly horoscope in your inbox!

Coveting:
I’ve been on the hunt for a great pair of straight leg jeans in a medium wash and am hoping these AGOLDE jeans will be perfect! I’ve heard great things about AGOLDE jeans so I’m excited to try.

Thank you so much for coming back and reading! Please leave a comment if there is anything you’d like to see around here!

Between the holidays and wedding planning, blogging has definitely taken a backseat, but here is what I am currently up to...

Trying: I recently received products from the Goop by Juice Beauty line and have been using them for the past month or so. Favorites so far are the Exfoliating Instant Facial, Revitalizing Day Moisturizer and the Perfecting Eye Cream.

Reading: Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia. His unconventional work philosophies are so inspiring.

Coveting: A pair of Garrett Leight x Clare V. sunglasses from their fun collab.

Listening: I can't get enough of the "How I Built This" podcast. Favorite episodes include: Kate + Andy Spade, Kevin Systrom + Mark Krieger (Instagram) and Dave Gilboa + Neil Blumenthal (Warby Parker).

Dreaming: We've been having 60+ degree days here in NYC and it's inspiring me to make some purchases for summer i.e. this navy gingham bathing suit and this perfect eyelet blouse

Currently

Oops it's been awhile since I've posted and now it's basically winter. I'm still mourning the end of summer, which is my favorite season and happened to be extra special this year because: we got engaged! Wedding planning is slowly taking over our lives, but I am really enjoying it and wish I could just do that all day. The date is set for next September in LA!

Here are a few things currently on my radar:

Wearing: Now that it's gotten colder, I've been living in these thin wool sweaters from & Other Stories. I love them paired with high-waisted denim and they are great on their own when it's warmer and are an amazing layer when it's colder. I have both gray and navy and recommend them to everyone I know!

Also wearing: I finally bought my first pair of AMO Babe jeans and have to stop myself from wearing them everyday. I got the 'Eclipse' wash, but am already coveting the 'Blue Gem' wash. I wish they would make a deep black wash too!

Loving: I've been following Liz Damrich on Instagram for awhile and was excited to see her Charleston home featured on Domino this week! She's got a killer sense of personal style too and is over on Industry Standard showing off her sweater collection.

Sharing: I recently wrapped up a freelance project that is super close to my heart: Project Battlebox. They send curated boxes to women (and eventually men!) who are undergoing cancer treatments to help make them feel more like themselves and bring some beauty to their battle. I'm so proud of this project and honored that I was a part of it.

Coveting: Every year I add a few sweaters to my collection and this cozy navy number is next on my to-buy list!

Obsessing: I keep going back to look at these beautiful homes in Northern California. I love how seamlessly they fit into their surroundings and the adventurous spirit of them.
