Everyday Favorites Part Three

Back for another round of my everyday favorites! I love putting together these posts to share things that I constantly use and re-purchase. These are my tried-and-true favorites…

CLOTHING + ACCESSORIES

— I know I’ve shared my Jenni Kayne cashmere sweaters over and over, but I am truly obsessed with them! I have both the Cocoon Cardigan and the Fisherman Crewneck and wear them all the time. The cashmere is so high quality and extremely soft. These are definitely investment pieces, but they’re so classic you’ll have them for a very long time. You can use my code ALEX20 for 20% off your Jenni Kayne purchase, in stores and online, as many times as you want.

— I got these Birkenstock EVA Arizona sandals last year before our trip to Hawaii and they remain one of my most favorite pairs of sandals. They’re the absolute best for going to the beach or pool because you can get them completely wet! They’re also super lightweight and comfortable. I love the olive green color, which is called Khaki.

— I’m not a huge fan of classic denim jackets and much prefer a looser, chore jacket style. I got the Everlane Denim Chore Jacket earlier this year and it’s the perfect denim jacket. I love the shape and the large pockets make it easy to carry all your necessities (which we have more of these days!). I also like that it’s thin enough to layer under other jackets. I got a size small and can wear a sweater under it.

— My absolute favorite beanie is my Alex Mill Cashmere Beanie—it’s super luxe feeling and comes in a ton of colors. Not itchy at all!

— I’m slowly on a mission to convert all of my pajamas to LAKE pajamas. Their pima cotton sets are so soft—they’re heaven to sleep in!

— My favorite socks for fall and winter are these & Other Stories Glitter Socks. They keep your feet really warm and look nice if they peek out above your boots or sneakers.

— My most worn sweater is by far the Everlane Alpaca Sweater, which I got last year. I have it in two colors (Almond + Mocha) and wear constantly throughout the fall & winter. It even made the cut into my condensed LA wardrobe!

— I had to, of course, get a fresh pair of Vans for our move to LA. I wear these all the time with dresses to add a more casual touch.

beauty

— I’ve become such a big fan of the makeup brand Westman Atelier. Their formulas are clean and made with high-quality ingredients that perform super well. I love their mascara and their blush (I use ‘Petal’). The mascara formula is really conditioning and the brush is so soft on my lashes.

— As the air gets drier this time of year, I always turn to the True Botanicals Moisture Lock Overnight Mask. You put it on at night and wake up in the morning to softer, more hydrated skin.

— I was gifted the Jo Malone Fig & Lotus Flower Perfume and it’s quickly become one of my favorite scents. The scent reminds me of a really nice beach resort, but it’s not super summery—it’s really great for fall.

— I started using the R+Co Sun Catcher Leave-In Conditioner earlier this year and I love it so much. It leaves my hair incredibly soft and does a great job of moisturizing my waves.

— These Slip Silk Scrunchies are a mainstay on my nightstand and in my bag—they don’t pull on my hair and they look really nice in your hair and on your wrist!

home

— I love having a big glass of water near me at all times and bought this straw cup when we got to LA—I love that it keeps my water cold for a long time and the straw makes me drink a lot more water!

This red wine aerator has been a mainstay in our kitchen for many, many years. It’s easy to use and makes your glass of wine taste better.

— A candle snuffer is an essential part of our home and makes putting out candles much more enjoyable! I love this brass snuffer—it feels like a mini sculpture that you can keep on display.

misc.

— I had to wait a couple months to finally get a pair of Bala Bangles earlier in quarantine and they were definitely worth the wait, although I don’t think they are backordered anymore. I use them all the time while doing my Melissa Wood Health pilates workouts, but they’re also great for walks around your neighborhood. I like that you can wear the weights around either your ankles or your wrists to tone your legs or arms.

— I absolutely love this jewelry cleaner—it’s super easy to use and it comes with a little soft brush to help get into crevices. They also make another version for silver jewelry.
