Q+A

I love hearing from my readers and really enjoyed answering your questions last month so I thought I’d do this again! A lot of you have submitted career-related questions, so I am going to do a dedicated post on those down the road.

What are your 5 basic must haves for fall?

I touched on my wardrobe essentials in this post, but here are my top 5 must haves for fall:

1. Cashmere Sweater
2. Medium blue pair of jeans
3. Chelsea boots
4. Slim-fitting turtleneck
5. Cozy sweats

what’s your dream living situation in LA? (no budget!!)

With no budget, we’d looove to live in Brentwood or Pacific Palisades in a Spanish-style or traditional-style house, with a big backyard, gorgeous garden and a pool!

Our somewhat realistic dream living situation in LA is definitely a little house/bungalow with a yard, ideally on the west side of town. We are very close to finalizing our living situation and I can’t wait to share more with all of you!

do you have a moodboard for your LA abode?

I have tons and tons of inspiration saved for our future home! I feel like I’ve been saving inspiration foreverrrr and now I’m working on sorting through it and editing it for what’s realistic in our next space. While I’m likely always going to be into neutrals, I really want to do something a bit different in our next space and bring in even more vintage & antique pieces, subtle color, different patterns and unique details. I definitely plan on sharing more of our decorating process with you, so stay tuned!

Recommendations for tablecloths?

Surprisingly got this question a couple times! I can’t wait to buy a tablecloth from Heather Taylor Home—so many of her pieces have been on my future home wishlist. H&M Home and Zara Home have great options, especially linen tablecloths. I also love MagicLinen and they have great tablecloth options. And it’s always fun to poke around on Etsy for vintage tablecloths!

Tips for not overbuying & only purchasing things you love?

One of the biggest ways I stopped overbuying was by setting a monthly shopping budget and actually sticking to it. It really makes you think about everything you buy and prioritize differently. If I’m only able to spend a certain amount of $ each month, I want it to be on things I really love. Nothing’s worse than realizing you quickly spent the budget on random things vs. investing in 1-2 pieces you really wanted. I keep an on-going wishlist in my Notes app of things I want and I use that to guide what I buy each month.

Hope you enjoyed this! If you ever have a question, you can always DM me, leave a comment or email me and I’ll include in a future post!
