January can be a strange time for shopping, but I always like to take the month to go through my closet to see what pieces I can part with and what my closet is needing. It’s a great time to purchase those foundational pieces that can serve you throughout the year.

I’m in need of an easy throw on fleece for walks around our neighborhood, some new comfy sneakers and I desperately need a new wallet. I love this simple black slip dress—perfect to wear now with a sweater layered over it and on its own when the weather is warmer. It’s also easy to dress up and down!
