Hope you are all having a relaxing holiday break! Wanted to pop in and share my favorites from this past year. So many great discoveries that have become staples in my every day…
WOVEN RUSH RUG
By far one of my favorites from this year is our living room rug! We bought ours from a local source in LA, Frank’s Cane & Rush Supply, but you can also buy online from Shop Rush House. I get a lot of questions about how it has held up and so far it’s been great. Luckily our dog isn’t super interested in it so he hasn’t really chewed on it or anything. But the great thing about these rugs is that you can easily swap out a square if something happens to one!
POLDINA PRO OUTDOOR TABLE LAMP
We have two of these outdoor table lamps and are obsessed with them! They are cordless and rechargeable—they’re perfect for outdoor dinners or if you need some extra light somewhere. They come in lots of sizes and colors too!
APPOINTED CO. TASK PLANNER
This past year was all about organization for me with my job and career changes. I rely heavily on this task planner to keep me on track with all my various projects and never ending to do lists!
JENNI KAYNE CASHMERE COCOON CARDIGAN
By far my most worn item this year are my cashmere cardigans from Jenni Kayne. They’re so cozy and are the perfect layer. My collection of them has certainly grown this year and I may or may not have another one waiting for me when we get back to LA! Use code ALEX15 for 15% off.
BUMBLE & BUMBLE DON’T BLOW IT AIR DRY STYLER
I tried a number of different hair products this year, but this one became an instant favorite as soon as I started using it. Even though my hair is curly, it’s actually very fine so this doesn’t weigh it down and makes my hair really soft, while minimizing frizz.
LAURA DAVIDSON SOHO RIBBED DESK CHAIR
I had such a hard time finding a desk chair that worked with my desk and finally got this one after two friends recommended it. It’s got great support, comes in a bunch of colors (I got the chocolate brown) and you can use it with or without the arms. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a desk chair!
MERIT BEAUTY
I’m obsessed with everything I’ve tried from Merit Beauty, which launched at the end of last year. My daily makeup routine is now exclusively their products and I love that they create such a natural look. I use the Minimalist in Silk with Brush No. 1, Flush Balm in Beverly Hills, Clean Lash and Brow 1980 in Blond.
BEYOND YOGA CAUGHT IN THE MIDI LEGGINGS
I have these leggings in multiple colors and am always gravitating toward them. They are so soft and cozy—perfect for light workouts or lounging around the house.
CORE CLUB PILATES RESISTANCE BANDS
I’ve been getting back into a routine doing my Melissa Wood Health pilates workouts almost every day and added in these resistance bands for an extra challenge. I got this set from Core Club and love the 3 different strengths and of course their chic neutral colors.
HAYLEY BRIDGET STRIPED PRIMA SHIRT
When my friend Hayley recently launched her fall/winter collection, I immediately ordered this striped shirt. I had been looking for a brown & white striped shirt and love my other button downs from her collections. It is so soft, while still being crisp—the fabric is truly gorgeous. It’s also the perfect shade of brown too!
OSMOSIS WELLNESS SKIN DEFENSE CAPSULES
I started seeing a new facialist in LA who introduced me to these skin defense capsules. I struggle with hormonal breakouts on my chin and since I started taking these daily, I haven’t had any major breakouts.
