currently...

As a blogger and creative, I am never fully turned off from the digital world and it definitely comes with a price. I loved reading Kate's take on the subject and it's inspired me to try to make some changes in my behavior.

There are few things I love more than a good striped shirt, so I greatly enjoyed reading some history on them.

I mean, can you even stand how awesome these planters are?!?! No explanation necessary.

currently coveting no. 68

ONE / I've heard nothing but good things about the haircare brand Sachajuan and am eager to try a few of their products, including this conditioning spray. (Plus, their packaging is simple + beautiful.)

TWO / Ever since Clare V. came out with these French graphic tees, I've been coveting the navy oui one.

THREE / I love the simplicity and colors of this book cover + am eager to add it to my bookshelf for that reason alone!

FOUR / My coworker was wearing a variation of this chambray blouse and I completely fell in love with its oversized, relaxed shape and am now coveting it in every variation.

FIVE / The easiest black dress for summer. Dress it up or down.

SIX / I'm pretty sure I'll be living in these patterned shorts all summer long. Super comfortable and they'll go with everything.

SEVEN / I've been following along with new denim brand Industry Standard and am anxious to try out a pair of their jeans! I'm always on the hunt for more great jeans.

EIGHT / Flat sandals are one of my weaknesses and I'm really into lace-up gladiators this summer. These basic black ones caught my eye and will pair perfectly with both jeans and dresses.

interior envy: jessica comingore

I've been a long time admirer of Jessica Comingore's design work as well as her aesthetic that carries across everything she does. I was able to catch up with her while in LA in March and she's just as inspiring in person as you'd hope her to be. I've seen glimpses of her home on Old Brand New and was so excited to see her whole home featured on The Everygirl

RoAndCo is one of my favorite design studios and I so enjoyed getting a glimpse into their office and reading this interview with Roanne Adams.

There's new nail game in town - Paintbox. It opens tomorrow and I can't wait to book a mani there and see what it's all about. The branding was done by Lotta Nieminen so you know it's going to be good!

The new, redesigned Lonny is out and I'm loving this story featuring Michelle Smith and her Sag Harbor home. I loved watching the video following her around the city for the day - her style is so good!

woven inspiration

I took my first weaving class my senior year of college (you can see some work here and here) and I immediately wished I had taken it earlier. I fell in love with the medium and found it to be such a welcomed change from my graphic design classes. The patterns and technical process appealed to my mathematical senses, while the creative freedom allowed me to step outside my creative box and relax. I've been eager to get back into it and finally purchased one of Maryanne Moodie's loom kits that comes with a loom and all the materials you need (email her if you're interested!). I cannot wait to get my hands on it and get back into weaving again! I've been really loving all of these neutral weavings that really focus on texture and changing patterns.

interior envy

Renting in New York definitely comes with some sacrifices and that usually means a less than stellar kitchen with some pretty bad appliances. I'm dreaming of the day that I can finally have a space of my own to do what I want with. I love the above kitchen from this Melbourne home - it's so bright and modern, but feels warm with all of the wood accents. Here are a few ideas on how to get the look in your own home:

GE shared their new Artistry series of appliances with me and I was pretty impressed with them. I am obsessed with the sleek black options they offer and so wish we could have them in our own kitchen!

Pendant Lamp / Refrigerator / Gold Flatware / Dining Table / Dining Chair / Fiddle Leaf Fig / Dishwasher / Baskets

P.S. You can enter to win a $500 Visa gift card as part of their #blackandwhite contest!
