interior envy: emily johnston

I've been crushing on photographer Emily Johnston's NYC apartment since it was first published in Anthology a year or so ago. After seeing photos of her place again in Rue (thanks to Nicole!) I knew I had to finally share it with you all! I absolutely love seeing other NYC apartments and finding new ways to maximize our small apartment. I love her consistent color palette and how serene the colors make the apartment. The light is utterly amazing and makes the apartment feel like a peaceful escape from the city. P.S. Check out her amazing new print shop - Terra Incognita

I might just have to steal her door decorating idea!

weekend moments

How was everyone's weekend? We enjoyed a much needed lowkey weekend, spent sleeping in and catching up on things around our apartment. We ventured out on Saturday and had an amazing late lunch at Jack's Wife Freda, which I've been meaning to try for ages. Everything was delicious and it's one of the few times I've been at a place where I felt like I could eat anything off the menu and be happy. I'm pretty sure we will be making many more trips there in the future!

My obsession with delicate jewelry has now intensified after seeing the Fine by Dannijones collection.
The collection is a collaboration between the Dannijo sisters and Rashida Jones (girl crush alert) and offers various rings, charm necklaces, bracelets and earrings (the Elf ring is topping my wishlist). And make sure to check out this really cute vid with the girls!

I'm finally seeing The Grand Budapest Hotel tonight (!) and am even more excited after reading this awesome interview with the film's graphic prop designer, Annie Atkins. Wes Anderson's movies transport you into his worlds and the graphic designer plays such a vital role. It was so fascinating to read about all the little details that go into the film that you might not ever notice, but without them, the movie wouldn't feel as authentic. Talk about a dream job!

Lately I've been ditching my subscription to Pandora in favor of curated Spotify playlists. My current fave is
Mixtape No. 83 by Jessica Comingore - I've seriously had this on repeat for the past couple days. Girl has excellent taste in music!

P.S. trying this out as a new feature every Friday - let me know what you think!

I am taking next week off from the blog and taking a much needed trip to some SUNSHINE! Follow me on instagram to keep up with my travels! Have a wonderful weekend and week!

P.S. I wish I was going somewhere as amazing as in this photo...

jean stories: jessica de ruiter

I came across this awesome feature with stylist Jessica de Ruiter on Jean Stories and had to pass it along. I love absolutely everything about these images but especially:

1. Her amazing bedroom. That light, those windows! See her entire home here.
2. Those jeans. That t-shirt. That sweater. Her jewelry.

I seriously wish I could jump into that room right now and soak up all the sunlight that's coming through those windows! I love how effortless and relaxed her style is and how seamlessly it carries from her clothes to her interiors.

currently coveting no. 65

My mind is so focused on warmer temperatures and leaving this winter behind. I'm dreaming of not wearing a ton of layers everyday. Here's what's catching my eye for spring:

ONE / Every time I walk into Warby Parker I find another pair of glasses to covet. This time, it's the Lyle in English Oak.

TWO / I love the pattern on this Isabel Marant top. I'd wear this with everything.

THREE / Simple gold jewelry is my favorite and this cuff would be perfect to wear everyday.

FOUR / This striped tank is so soft and silky - ideal for warm days.

FIVE / Words cannot express how much I want these leopard sandals. They're the perfect pop of pattern for neutral outfits.

SIX / I keep hearing rave reviews of RMS Beauty, both of the brand and their Living Luminizer. I'm anxious to try this highlighter and other products in their line.

SEVEN / The perfect summer tank dress to dress up or down.

EIGHT / This bag screams summer to me - the pale leather, the perforations, the easy tote shape.
