15 Favorite Home Finds

Along with a new home comes lots of little things you need—thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite things we’ve purchased…

Threshold Woven Storage Baskets

I feel like we have all been on the home organization train for the past year and these baskets are affordable and such a great size that can fit in so many places. I also love that the handles can fold down or stand up. We’re planning to use these in our pantry, linen closet and bathroom.

Nespresso Recycling Bin

If you have a Nespresso machine, hopefully you already know that the pods can be returned and recycled! In addition to giving you pre-paid UPS shipping bags, you can also get this handy recycling bin to fill them up. Prior to getting this we just had it in a random place in our apartment and this is 10x better!

FRENCH WINE GLASSES

I’ve mentioned these wine glasses before—I love them so much! They’re such a nice alternative to stemmed / stemless wine glasses and feel so lovely with a set table.

LINEN TABLECLOTH

I was looking for a simple tablecloth for our outdoor table and bought this linen one from H&M. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it—it’s so soft and feels really nice. It comes in a few different colors and sizes too.

GLASS STORAGE JARS

Now that we finally have a washer & dryer (!!!), I wanted something to store our laundry pods and dryer balls in. Hoping to eventually have a shelf to put these on!

REUSABLE TOWELS

We have been trying to cut down on waste in so many areas of our life and I really wanted to cut back on paper towel usage so I bought these reusable towels and love them! We use them for everything and then just wash them—they come completely clean. Another helpful trick to reduce paper towel usage is to place the paper towels inside a cabinet—when they are not in sight, you’ll be less likely to use them!

STEEL CLIPS

I use these simple metal clothespins for everything—so handy!

MINI SPACE HEATER

We don’t have central heat or AC in our house—it stays surprisingly cool, even on warm & sunny days—so we needed to get a space heater for our bedroom. I got this smaller one to use throughout the day in our office and love how tiny but effective it is! (Shoutout to Amy who first found this!)

SILPAT SILICONE BAKING LINER

Over the holidays I decided I wanted to bake cookies, but I didn’t have a lot of baking essentials. I kept seeing these Silpat silicone mats being used and quickly purchased two of them. They help everything bake more evenly and makes clean up a breeze—nothing sticks to the pan! I also like that they are more eco-friendly than using parchment paper or foil, and you can even put them in the dishwasher. We have also been using them when roasting veggies, cooking salmon, reheating pizza slices—everything!

nordicware baking sheets

In addition to the silicone baking mats, I also bought some new sheet pans and am so impressed with these. I love looking on Wirecutter to find the best of a certain item and these were highly recommended—they’re super durable and don’t warp in the oven.

FOLDING LAUNDRY DRYING RACK

We had one of these back in NYC since we air dry so many of our clothes and I bought a second one now that we have more space. I love the size of it—so many drying racks are too tiny for my liking and this one is perfect.

SAINT OLIO NEROLI CLEANER

This has been a longtime favorite cleaning spray in our house (we also have the air/linen spray too) and I just bought two more bottles of it. It smells incredible—I love using it to wipe down the kitchen every night.

FULL CIRCLE BROOM

One of our first purchases was this broom and the matching dustpan / brush set. I love the look of them and they do a great job sweeping up crumbs etc. The brush bristles are also really soft so you don’t worry about them scratching floors.

EUFY ROBO VACUUM

We always wanted one of these in our apartment, but we felt like we had too many places for it to get stuck, so we never got it. We were gifted this from a family member and have basically welcomed it into our home as though it’s another family member, ha! I like being able to have it run while we are doing other things—just make sure you pull up any cords it could get caught on!

SCHOOLHOUSE ELECTRIC MAILBOX

We needed to replace our mailbox when we got our house (the old one was broken) and we picked up this cream colored one from Schoolhouse. I love how simple it is and that it locks for extra security.

Hope you enjoyed this!
