Everyday Favorites Part Two

I really enjoyed putting together the first post of my everyday favorites, so I decided to do a part two! These are some of my go-to, tried and true, repeat purchases that I turn to and use constantly…

Clothing + accessories

— While I’ve talked so many times about my love for Everlane’s Pima Ribbed tees, sometimes you just want a classic white t-shirt. For those times, I always reach for my Jenni Kayne tee. It’s so hard to find t-shirts that remain nice after washing & wearing and this t-shirt has truly stayed perfect since day one. I love that it is a bit longer for tucking into high-waisted jeans and that the neck lays flat and doesn’t become misshapen—hard to find! P.S. Get 20% off your purchase at Jenni Kayne with my code ALEX20.

— The Apiece Apart Merida Pant has long been a favorite of mine. I now own it in 4 colors! It’s the perfect high rise, slightly wide leg pant. I love the material too, which continues to get softer over time. They’re an investment, but I keep an eye out for sales (just got them in white for 25% off!) or look on The Real Real or eBay.

— I was not a big robe wearer until I got this Parachute robe—it’s the coziest! It’s great year round, not too heavy or too light.

— Nearly every pair of my sunglasses is from Warby Parker. I love their shapes and the prices are really good (I need prescription lenses in mine). The pair I currently have in rotation quickly sold out as part of a limited edition collab, but these ones are very similar!

— I love the shape of a classic crewneck sweatshirt and I recently found this one in the perfect beige color.

— A pair of small diamond hoops was on my wishlist for awhile and I got this pair over Christmas and wear them nearly every day!

— Now that wearing a mask is part of our norm (please wear one!), I’m so glad I bought a pack from Heather Taylor Home. I love her textiles so much and her masks blend nicely into my wardrobe. She’s also donating a pack of 10 for every pack she sells!

BEAUTY

— I switched my cotton rounds over to reusable ones last year and love them so much. They’re softer and so much better for the planet.

— My favorite hand cream is this cult favorite cream by Aesop. I’ve tried so many but always repurchase this one! I do love to use Weleda’s Skin Food overnight though, when it doesn’t matter that my hands are extra greasy.

Supergoop Unseen is by far the best face sunscreen I’ve tried. The texture is almost velvety and sinks into your skin nicely, without leaving any residue or cast. It also acts almost like a primer and smooths everything out. I also love their eye cream, Bright Eyed—and I’m wanting to try their Glowscreen suncreen next!

— I swear by this Briogeo Hair Repair Mask! I use it 2-3 times a week and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and silky. I’ve also found it helps minimize frizz.

— I don’t use this often, but every so often when I want to look like I’ve gotten some color, I turn to this gradual tanning lotion. It’s 100% natural and made with certified organic ingredients, doesn’t have a weird smell and is super easy to apply. The resulting color is very natural and not orange at all.

DECOR

— I have little dishes of the Santa Maria Novella Potpourri throughout our apartment, which always reminds me of our honeymoon spent in Italy. I really love that our home has a subtle scent associated with it. It’s not a typical overbearing potpourri type of smell—it’s very natural and rich smelling.

— Our favorite bath towels are these super plush ones from Weezie. They feel really luxurious and have maintained their plushness over time!

KITCHEN

— Grant is definitely the chef in our home and he recently got this frying pan and is obsessed. He says it’s very versatile, very non-stick and bonus: it’s made of recycled aluminum.

— I always get asked about our kitchen towels and they are from IKEA! They are the best deal—$3.99 for a pack of 4—and are actually the best I’ve ever used. We have both the blue and the green sets.

— We used to have the Nespresso milk frother but it kept breaking so we replaced it with this one that we looove. It seems to be currently unavailable, but this one is similar with really good reviews!

— I’ve mentioned that we use cloth napkins and we recently bought a couple sets of these striped ones to add to our rotation. I like that they aren’t too precious in case they get stained.

MISC.

— I started taking Seed probiotics back in November and continue to take them each day. I really appreciate that the packaging is so thought out and I don’t mind leaving the glass jar out on our counter. I don’t have any major gastro issues, but I definitely feel better when I take them regularly. I also like that they are on an auto-delivery system so I don’t ever have to think about reordering them—they simply arrive when we are nearly out!

— If you haven’t tried Muji gel pens yet, then you need to get on it! They are my favorite and write so smoothly. I alternate between the .5mm and .38mm depending on if I want a thicker or thinner line.

— These 6-foot long phone charging cords might be one of my best purchases. So much nicer than the short ones Apple gives you!
