Interior Envy: Sarah Bartholomew Showhouse

I’ve been following Sarah Bartholomew’s interiors for awhile and was excited to see that she was chosen to design a room at this year’s Kips Bay Showhouse in NYC. I got the chance to visit the showhouse before it closed at the end of May and Sarah’s room was by far my favorite.

I love how clean yet warm the room felt with a mix of shades of whites and natural textures—wood, straw, stone. I took an embarrassing amount of photos of her space and wanted to share with you…

Interior Envy: Hallie Meyers-Shyer

Hallie Meyers-Shyer’s home ranks high in my inspiration files, which is no surprise considering she’s the daughter of everyone’s favorite movie director / home creator, Nancy Meyers. Hallie’s home has so much character, but still manages to feel modern. I love the combination of wood ceilings paired with bright white walls. It’s so nice to see a home layered with pieces that tell a story rather than everything being brand new.

Ulla Johnson Shop

I'm beyond excited about my new neighbor -- Ulla Johnson just opened her first shop around the corner from our apartment! The design of the space is absolutely stunning (no surprise there) and incorporates gorgeous materials and special details. You can visit her store at 15 Bleecker Street in Manhattan.

The Line - Amagansett

The Line is one of my favorite stores and they recently opened a third outpost for the summer in Amagansett. The entire store is shoppable—from the clothing to the furniture—and it's all beautifully curated. I love their point of view and aesthetic and always leave their spaces feeling inspired. It's definitely at the top of my must-see list for our trip out East later this summer.

Parachute Home

Our bedroom has remained quite unchanged over the past two years. I’ve had all these ideas of little changes to make and accessories to get, but never quite got around to completing. When Parachute Home approached me to test out some of their bedding, I knew it was just the right thing to finally pull our bedroom together.

I’ve been following along with Parachute for a long time—I admire their neutral aesthetic and overall mission—and was eager to try their bedding in our own home. I ended up picking the Venice Set in White Sateen (I’ve heard rave reviews of their Percale Set too!). The sateen fabric is really beautiful in person and feels very luxurious—just like you are staying in a great hotel.

As soon as I received my bedding, I was impressed with the packaging and all of the thoughtful little details, like a handwritten note from their founder, Ariel.

The duvet has lots of great details that help keep your insert in place and make making your bed that much easier. (Want expert advice on how to put on a duvet cover? They've got you covered.)

Because New York apartments tend to be on the smaller side, we spend a lot of time in our bedroom and it’s my favorite place to hang out on a weekend morning. I love sitting in bed for hours, pouring over magazines with a cup of coffee, and now it's that much better with the addition of our new bedding!

Parachute has also created a few fun extras for the home—I’m a huge fan of their Fireside candle, as well as their lightweight cashmere throws (which can double as a scarf).

If you need me, I’ll be in bed!

A few spaces that have caught my eye recently...

I can't wait for the day that we have a proper entry like this one. (And windows and floors like that, while I'm at it!)

I love how uncluttered this nightstand is, complete with a little tray beneath it for books and magazines.

Will someone please buy me an amazing tassel throw like that one??

I've been trying to slowly turn our apartment into a tame jungle and just added a new cactus friend to the mix. Now I'm on the hunt for the prettiest pots for them all!
