an update

Just popping in for a brief update on the situation here in NYC - we are without power as we live in lower Manhattan but have moved uptown to my mom's apartment where she has power. Hopefully we will have power at our apartment over the weekend.

Being from New Jersey and vacationing down the shore, and now living in NYC in the affected area, I cannot bring myself to blog about anything else right now as it feels so superficial. When things have returned to normal in our daily lives you can expect the same for the blog. I hope you are all safe and well - please send your thoughts to those most affected by the storm.

My area of NJ isn't faring too well either. It's awful to see how much damage Sandy left in her path. Hoping you get power back soon! Let me know if you need anything!

I'm thinking about you this week, my dear. My family and friends in NY and NJ are also without power but I know you all will come out strong from this. Glad you're safe and in good company at your moms. Let me know if you need anything.

So glad you are ok. I read your blog like its my job- glad that you have made it through. I lived in houston when Ike hit- and I didn't think I could ever miss electricity so much! xoxo

I am also from NJ, spend summers down the shore, and live in the East Village. I completely agree and cannot believe all that has happened. Glad to hear you are safe - and your blog is so charming. New follower :)
